Vallecito Union School District (VUSD) is seeking a dynamic, personable, and student-centered leader to serve as Principal of Avery Middle School (ADA 215 students) beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. Located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite, VUSD is a community funded district serving approximately 600 students and is deeply committed to ensuring all students thrive. Avery Middle School, recently recognized as a 2026 California Distinguished School, is a high-performing campus with a dedicated staff and a strong culture of collaboration and care. The ideal candidate will build on this foundation of excellence by fostering positive relationships, supporting high-quality instruction, and engaging meaningfully with staff, students, and families.
