DEFINITION: Under general administrative direction, plans, organizes, and administers a comprehensive fiscal services department; provides leadership and assumes fiscal management responsibility for all business services operations; conducts financial analysis including forecasting financial commitments, evaluating contracts, and facilitating auditing; prepares financial statements and reports; provides advice and consultation to management on matters related to contract administration with employee groups; develops and administers the annual budget; and performs other job related duties as required.

The Lennox School District is seeking a Director of Fiscal Services. Salary: Up to $154,130 with a sign-on bonus of $10,000. In addition to this salary, there is an attractive benefits package that includes a longevity and mileage stipend, life insurance, health benefits, and CalPERS eligibility. Lennox School District values leadership development and will support the position with professional development. Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university. Experience in accounting with emphasis on budget development, program accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial analysis, and financial reporting. Experience in fiscal services in a governmental or school district setting is desirable, OR some combination of education, training, and experience that produces the requisite knowledge and ability. Lennox School District is a K–8 district serving approximately 4,100 students and consisting of five elementary schools and one middle school. *Sign-On Bonus of $10,000 for the Director of Fiscal Services will be paid in two (2) installments: $5,000 in their first paycheck and $5,000 upon completion of their first full year of successful employment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university • Four years of progressively responsible experience in accounting with emphasis on budget development, program accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial analysis, and financial reporting • Two years of successful experience in providing leadership and supervision to staff • Experience in fiscal services in a governmental or school district setting is desirable -OR- • Some combination of education, training, and experience that produces the requisite knowledge and ability APPLICATION PROCESS: 1.
