THE SUPERINTENDENT / PRINCIPAL POSITION: The Board of Trustees are seeking a superintendent who is student centered and leads from the front with staff, students, parents and community. The superintendent shall serve as the educational leader for grades TK - 8. This role calls for a hands-on leader who can navigate complex budget responsibilities while remaining willing and able to support on-site operations wherever needed, including the cafeteria. As a “blue-collar superintendent”, this position is built for someone who is willing to see the immediate needs of the district and school and be nimble enough to adjust their priorities to meet the expectations for the students and staff. This position shall report to and advise the Board of Trustees on fiscal and fiduciary matters, along with the governance of the district's board policies. SALARY AND CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS: Salary range will be between $155,000 - $180,000 depending upon experience and qualifications. The annual work calendar is 224 days.
Requirements / Qualifications
--Current California Administrative Credential. --Advanced degree beyond Bachelor's preferred. --Letter of Introduction addressing the following: 1. Values as a leader that you have and how they are demonstrated. 2. Success in effective curriculum and instruction leadership. 3. Strategies towards developing 3 year budget projections. 4. How do you sustain a servant leadership culture. --Resume --3 letters of recommendation dated within the past 2 school years. --Minimum of 4 years school site and/or district administrative leadership. --Successful experience in school finance and budget management. --Successful experience working with a culture and ethnically diverse community.
