Job Summary

The Student Information Systems Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and effective use of student and constituent data systems at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School. In collaboration with the Director of Technology, this position provides administration, data stewardship, reporting, and user support for the school’s student information systems and integrated third-party platforms. The Specialist serves as the primary steward of student and constituent data systems and leads training and support for employees and families across the school community. The role requires analytical problem-solving, technical expertise, and the ability to make independent decisions regarding system configuration, data management processes, and user support strategies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Systems Administration and Data Management • Administer and manage the school’s student information systems, including Blackbaud Education Products and Raiser’s Edge, exercising independent judgment in system configuration, data integrity oversight, and workflow design. • Manage constituent data across mySMES and Raiser’s Edge; audit, update, and maintain accurate current and historical records. • Support integration and maintenance of alumni and alumni parent records. • Maintain directory information for students, parents, and Professional Community members within school platforms. • Design and maintain processes for data validation, auditing, and reconciliation across multiple integrated systems. • Coordinate enrollment processing for returning, new, non-returning, and graduating students. • Manage year-end rollover processes for students and Professional Community data. • Support data migration activities related to new or updated educational system implementations. • Document data management processes and maintain system procedure guides. Reporting and Operational Support • Export and prepare data for reporting, mailings, lists, and electronic communications.

Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Required • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Experience working with database systems, preferably within educational or nonprofit environments. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and maintain data integrity. • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines. • Provide patient, clear guidance and training to employees, students, and families of all ages in the effective use of school technology systems. Preferred • Experience with Blackbaud Education Products and Raiser’s Edge. • Experience with Magnus Health, BrightArrow, Titan HST, or similar educational platforms. • Experience in K–12 independent school data workflows, including admissions, advancement, health, and registrar processes. • Experience developing training documentation and user guides.
