Los Encinos School, a K-6 elementary school, serving 180 students in Encino, CA is looking for a talented and experienced elementary American Sign Language teacher to work with all grades for the 2026-2027 school year. Los Encinos School is dedicated to excellence and promotes the principles and practices of diversity throughout our school community. We are seeking a dynamic ASL teacher to join our team to create an integrated ASL experience for our students.In this role, you will design and implement engaging, project based lessons that encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. -Work with the grade-level and specialist teachers to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate ASL curriculum for individuals, small groups, and an entire classroom of children. -Promotes learning in the areas of academic, social-emotional, and physical development and motivates enthusiasm of children to actively participate in the learning process. --- -Communicates openly with classroom teachers and specialist teammate(s) regarding shared responsibilities, delivery of the ASL curriculum/special performances, and individual student and parent needs.
Requirements / Qualifications
Experience teaching American Sign Language in an elementary school setting is preferred; A Bachelors and credential or a Masters degree in a related field is also preferred.
