ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Articulate and communicate a shared vision and mission for the Academy’s American Classical Leadership Education® (ACLE) model as outlined in the Quill and other Academy documents. • Communicate teacher performance expectations and current performance using Academy documents. • Support teacher effectiveness by ensuring quality observations, feedback, coaching, and professional learning structures. • Implement the teacher evaluation system. • Support building/sustaining school culture focused on scholarliness. • Review scholar achievement data regularly to inform coaching practice and create improvement plans for low performing grades. • Ensure all classrooms implement Academy curricula and pedagogy practices with fidelity. • Support classroom teachers with implementing strong classroom governance and empowering teachers with tools to mentor their scholars in character formation in addition to intellectual formation. • Develop and implement a comprehensive professional development plan aligned to and in support of the ACLE model, curriculum pages, and teacher growth goals. • Design and facilitate professional development that yields improvement in teacher practice in the Academy’s ACLE and scholar achievement according to Academy and state standards. • Ensure the development of Professional Learning Communities in alignment with practices and structures outlined by the Academy. • Support development of a collaborative learning community. • Assist Principal in crafting LCAP goals. • Assist in the building and vetting Academy wide curricula and teacher training resources as assigned. • Assist in designing and implementing Academy wide teacher development as assigned. • Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: • Ability to mentor and inspire staff members in the American Classical Leadership Education® model. • Ability to help teachers implement appropriate teaching practice
