Front Desk/Administrative Assistant to the High School. Position will be a combination of administrative work and front desk receptonist for the HS.
Applicants must be comfortable communicating with students, parents and coworkers in a professional and welcoming manner. They must be proficient in using Excel and Word. Prefer someone with experience using PowerSchool, Naviance, TOMS, or other database platforms used by public schools. Additional work will include grant database entry/management, payroll, human resources assistant, and other duties as assigned.

School Operations Specialist
Job Purpose:
To be an ambassador for the school when greeting students, families, community members, and other visitors. This role also supports the secretarial, clerical, and administrative needs to ensure that operations are maintained and documented.
Education-Based Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (recommended); and
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in clerical or administrative work; and
• CPR Certification
Knowledge, Skills, Ability: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with students, families, administrators, general educators, community members, and support staff.
• communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• report to work on a regular and punctual basis.

• implement modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, school policies and regulations.
• Perform Receptionist duties throughout the school day: acting as first point of reference
• Offer helpful, friendly, approachable, and professional service and take appropriate action resolve minor matters and refer more serious matters to the appropriate personnel
• Ensure communication is timely and accurate.
• Practice appropriate money management procedures.
• Maintain high standards when managing confidential information, complying with the school’s data protection procedures and legal requirements at all times.
• Perform a variety of clerical activities, including preparing routine correspondence, sorting and filing of records, documents, mail and other material.
• Assist with attendance, absence and tardy tracking; enter information into the student information system; generate lists, rosters and reports as needed.
• Enroll, add, transfer, or drop students according to established procedures; create student cumulative folders; verify residency and immunization information.
• Assist in health needs; provide basic first aid to ill or injured students, and make appropriate notifications to parents or guardians.
• Answer phones, greet and direct visitors, take and relay messages; provide routine information to students, parents or guardians.
• Operate a variety of office equipment.
• Inventory, order, and distribute office and classroom supplies as needed.
• Assist parents or guardians with free & reduced lunch applications.
Other functions of the job include, but are not limited to the following:
• Provide supervision of students during lunch and passing periods.
• Oversee and manage the lunch service to ensure appropriate data entry and health safety is maintained.
• Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds
• Encourage parent and community involvement, obtain information for parents when requested, promptly return phone calls and answer emails.
• Participate in appropriate professional learning activities.
• Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions (Physical Requirements and Environment):
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move items.
Pay:
Pay range $45000-$65000. Salary is determined based on experience and education. 234 day contract.
