Job Summary: Vice Principal (GIS) serves as a key member of the school’s leadership team, supporting the academic, social-emotional, and college-readiness development of students across PreK–12. This position combines administrative leadership with guidance and instructional support, ensuring that students receive comprehensive academic counseling, career exploration opportunities, and structured instructional support. This role will also support the daily operations and strategic initiatives of the academy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive PreK–12 guidance program that supports academic, social, emotional, and career development.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students regarding academic progress, goal setting, and personal development.
- Support students with college and career planning, including course selection, career exploration, and post-secondary readiness.
- Coordinate student support plans and interventions for academic or behavioral concerns.
- Collaborate with teachers to support instructional strategies that enhance student learning and engagement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of academic support programs, including tutoring, mentoring, and intervention services.
- Monitor student academic progress and coordinate early intervention strategies for students who need additional support.
- Support the integration of study skills, organization, and academic planning strategies into the curriculum.
- Assist the Principal with daily school operations, policies, and strategic initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of school policies, procedures, and student expectations.
- Participate in faculty meetings, leadership planning sessions, and school improvement initiatives.
- Assist with student discipline and restorative practices when needed.
- Support accreditation, reporting, and academic program evaluation processes.
- Evaluate and continuously improve the school’s guidance and student support programs.
- Analyze student data to identify trends and develop strategies to improve student outcomes.
- Support initiatives that promote student well-being, leadership, and character development.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Assists in oversight of the staff of the Table Mountain Rancheria Academy. Ensuring that the Academy staff carries out their respective duties in accordance with all Rancheria policy and procedures and all other applicable Tribal, Federal, and State law. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education/Experience
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Psychology, School Administration, or related field required.
- Minimum 5–10 years of teaching and/or educational leadership experience.
- Previous experience as a school Vice Principal, or academic director preferred.
- Experience in private school or independent school settings is highly desirable.
