Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Superintendent and/or designee Responsible for the District special education services Supervise and evaluate assigned personnel such as, but not limited to, School Psychologist, Speech Pathologist, Special Education classroom personnel, etc. Provide leadership and expertise in identifying, formulating, and implementing the District’s special education goals and objectives in compliance with state and federal legal mandates, objectives and policies, and other guidelines Establish communication feedback system and process for monitoring and auditing the special education program to guarantee activities are pursued within appropriate accountability guidelines Monitor district compliance with state and federal rules and regulations Ensure compliance with special education law, CDE Compliance and Monitoring, and SELPA policies and procedures Compile and complete assigned reports Supervise and manage special education student records and the Student Information System (SIS) Develop and provide staff development and/or parent education programs Advise administrators and classroom personnel on special education matters Assume other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Superintendent and/or designee

Masters Degree Stipend: $5,000
Masters Degree & Doctorate: $7,000
403(b) match up to 2.25% of base salary (upon completion of one year with the district)
Health & Welfare Benefits Contribution: $13,400
