Art Teacher – Prop 28 Arts Education (2026–2027 School Year) Paradise Unified School District is excited to expand arts education through California’s Prop 28 Arts and Music in Schools Funding and is seeking a passionate Art Teacher to inspire creativity, expression, and artistic confidence in our students. This position provides an opportunity to teach Introductory Art courses across multiple school sites while helping students discover the power of creativity, visual storytelling, and artistic exploration. Assignment – 0.8 FTE Paradise Jr. High School – .2 FTE (Intro to Art) Ridgeview High School / Paradise eLearning Academy – .2 FTE (Intro to Art) Paradise High School – .4 FTE (Intro to Art) What You'll Do Teach engaging Introductory Art courses that encourage creativity, experimentation, and artistic skill development Foster a classroom environment where students feel safe expressing ideas through visual art Introduce students to foundational techniques, materials, and art concepts Inspire students to build confidence, creativity, and appreciation for the arts Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen arts opportunities across the district What We’re Looking For We are seeking an educator who: Believes every student has creative potential Can make art approachable and exciting for beginners Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and strong classroom engagement Values collaboration and building positive relationships with students Minimum Qualifications Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Art (or eligibility) Ability to teach secondary-level art courses Why Paradise Unified?
