Job Announcement: Engineering & Robotics Summer Camp Counselor ACE Charter High School – Camarillo, CA Join the Team at ACE Charter High School! Are you a college student, teacher, or tech-enthusiast who loves STEM? ACE Charter High School is seeking energetic, motivated individuals to work at our upcoming Engineering and Robotics Summer Camp. Our goal is to get young learners (ages 10-14) excited about STEM through hands-on projects and high-tech tools. Camp Dates & Schedule: Main Camp: June 8th – June 26th Special Session: Saturday, April 25th What You’ll Do: Lead and manage groups of 20-40 students in a dynamic, educational camp setting. Collaborate with a passionate team to create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment. Introduce students to exciting technologies like 3D printing, robotics, and makerspace tools. Maintain an organized classroom and ensure all safety protocols are followed. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience with Kids: Previous experience working with children in an educational or camp setting. Leadership: Comfortable leading and managing groups of 20-40 students ages 10-14. Adaptability: A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies—we can teach you any of the tools you don't already know!. Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with other staff members. Preferred (But Not Required) Skills: Experience with LEGO Spike Prime or VEX Robotics kits. Familiarity with 3D modeling software like Fusion 360 or Tinkercad. Experience using makerspace equipment: 3D printers, laser engravers, soldering irons, or vinyl cutters. General knowledge of core STEM concepts. Why Apply?
