Job Summary

Job Summary

The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is seeking qualified Registered Behavior Technicians. The position will implements behavior intervention plans that support students with behavioral and social-emotional needs on a school site, including the classroom, small groups, and 1:1 settings. Current vacancies are located in Los Padrinos (7285 Quill Dr, Downey, CA 90242) and Camp Kilpatrick (427 Encinal Canyon Rd, Malibu, CA 90265). However, the resulting eligibility list may be used to fill any vacancies located at other sites.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent. A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board is required. Experience: Three years of experience providing behavioral intervention and management services to children with emotional disability or behavioral challenges in a school setting. Additional Requirements: Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) is desired. May require a valid California driver’s license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites. May be required to drive between sites.
