Job Summary
Job Summary
To provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments that includes training to travel safely and independently; provide assessment and consultation services in area of specialty; and perform related Orientation & Mobility Specialist duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
This is an itinerant position and may travel to more than one Special Education site on the same day. License or Certificate: Possession of an appropriate California Educational Specialist Credential that authorizes service to students who are visually impaired. Experience and Training Guidelines: Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying. Possession of a B.A. Degree supplemented by recent teaching experience including experience and/or training within the domain of the required credential.

Benefits: Employees assigned to this schedule are entitled to receive vision, dental and medical coverage for the employee and their dependents. Employees have a choice between various medical plans. Each plan may have an employee premium contribution amount for which the employee can utilize a tax sheltered Section 125 Plan. The COE contribution is prorated based on FTE.
