Are you passionate about visual and performing arts that inspire young artists? We're seeking a creative and enthusiastic VAPA Teacher to join our team! If you're well-versed in the California Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) standards and have a strong background in visual arts education, we'd love to hear from you. You'll have the opportunity to ignite creativity, nurture artistic skills, and instill a lifelong love of art in students from kindergarten through 8th grade. This itinerant position will work with middle school students on a rotating basis providing fine art enrichment. The specific area could be in photography, art, music, dance, or other fine art medium.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in art education, fine arts, music, or related field (master’s degree preferred) • Valid California Multiple Subjects teaching credential with proven VAPA experience and skills (preferred) or Single Subject Credential in either Photography, Art, Music/Choir, Dance or Media Arts • English Learner authorization • Experience and knowledge of the Common Core standards and standards-based curriculum, behavior management techniques, record keeping, student assessment, planning for individual student learning needs, and child development
