Provides reception, cashier, appointment scheduling, and guest services for customers. Schedules appointments, and provides assistance to instructors and staff. Receives and accounts for monies taken in for cosmetology services and products.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience A high school diploma or equivalent AND six months of clerical or cashiering experience involving public contact or customer service experience, preferably in a salon or similar environment OR An associate degree, preferably including coursework in cosmetology, hospitality, business, or related field

PURPOSE
To establish a list of eligible candidates that will be used to fill current and future vacancies (part-time, permanent and temporary) for the duration of the list, up to one year. The immediate vacancy is: 10 month, part-time (30 hours per week) position located in Simi Institute for Careers & Education, Simi Valley, California. The hours are Monday 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., Tuesday -Friday 8:30 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
FILING DATE: Completed application must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. on March 25, 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.
TESTING PROCESS:
A) Multiple Choice Test = 40% weighting on final score
Tentatively scheduled for the week of April 6, 2026.
B) Structured Interview = 60% weighting on final score
Tentatively scheduled for the week of April 13, 2026.
