Primary Function: Under the supervision of an administrator and direction of a credentialed school nurse, provide health care services to medically fragile students, students with disabilities, and general education students. Essential Duties: Provide nursing care within LVN scope of practice Perform specialized procedures (insulin administration, catheterization, trach care, G-tube feedings, oxygen therapy, seizure precautions, etc.) Administer medications per physician orders and district policy Implement emergency health care plans Maintain required health records; assist with IEPs/504s Support staff and communicate with families regarding student health needs Operate medical equipment and assist with lifting/moving students
