GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

All employees shall agree to uphold the MLCS Statement of Faith.

Teachers inherently serve as role models in judgment, dignity, respect, and Christian living.

Lessons plans are to be academically sound and in alignment with the stated curricular goals established by MLCS so that students are equipped to excel in high school and/or higher education if so desired. They must also be accessible to the administrative staff before the start of each week.

Positive and professional communication with MLCS families helps parents take an active role in their children’s education. All teachers create a weekly newsletter of goals and events and utilize emails, phone calls, and parent-teacher meetings as needed.

Maintaining efficiency in grading and recording assignments allows both students and parents to have daily feedback on academic progress.

Attendance at staff meetings and inservice days ensures that teachers are a collaborative part of curriculum development and implementation.

Participation in morning staff devotions builds unity in Christ and allows us to sharpen one another in the Word of God.
-
Working with and helping to mentor other staff members strengthens the whole MLCS team as we labor together to fulfill God’s purposes in Tuolumne County.
ACCOUNTABILITY

Answer directly to the Administrator.

Comments and Other Information
The teacher is allotted two paid Professional Growth days each contract year to attend conferences or other approved events.
The teacher is allotted seven Personal Time Off days (56 hours) for sick or other personal reasons. Any PTO hours not used by the end of the contract year shall be paid out to the teacher at the
end of the fiscal year.
The contract day begins at 7:30 am and concludes at 3:30 pm, unless attendance is required at a staff meeting, fundraiser, or other extracurricular event.
