Job Summary
Under the direction of the High School Principal, the Deputy Principal assumes the role of the principal in his/her absence; coordinates daily school activities; assists in the oversight of instructional programs and services; optimizes conditions of learning that lead to improvement in student achievement for all students; supervises and evaluates staff as assigned; coordinates and administrates student discipline in accordance with policies; implements high standards for student and staff conduct to promote a safe learning and working environment; promotes a school climate and culture that is inclusive and engages students, staff, parents, and community members; and actively engages in the supervision of co- and extra-curricular activities.

Education/Experience: 1. A minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience, five years preferred 2. A minimum of three years of successful site-level administrative experience 3. Demonstrated achievement as an educational leader with vision and strong interpersonal skills, including specific evidence of student academic improvement in a school setting as a result of the candidate’s leadership 4. California Administrative Service Credential, required 5. Master’s Degree, required 6. Doctorate Degree, preferred 7. Bilingual ability, preferred, but not required District paid medical, dental, vision, and prescription plans are provided for employee and dependents, up to a $16,075 district contribution.
