ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS TEACHER (6-8th Grade) at St. Louis Language Immersion School
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Language Proficiency: Fluency in English. Teaching Certification: Possession of a valid teaching license in Missouri or another U.S. state, or eligibility to teach in the country where the teacher received their professional training. Acceptable certifications include: Middle School Language Arts, Grades 5-9 Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Literacy, Language, or a closely related field. Master’s degree and above is preferred.

Ensures safety of students by providing active supervision
Builds strong relationships based on mutual respect across dimensions of difference with students, families, and all stakeholders
Provides appropriate, research-based scaffolds and differentiates instruction
Develops and uses an effective classroom culture plan
Collects and analyzes data, and uses it to drive decisions
Prepares and implements daily lessons aligned to the curriculum
Provides high quality and consistent input in English instruction while adhering to the Dual Language Model framework
