Job Summary

The School Counselor supports the academic, social, and emotional development of students by fostering a positive and inclusive school climate. Working closely with students, families, educators, and community partners, the Counselor provides individual and small-group counseling, coordinates student support services, and serves as a key liaison between school and home. This role collaborates with administrators, psychologists, special education teams, and outside agencies to address behavioral, attendance, and mental health needs. The Counselor facilitates SST and 504 meetings, conducts threat assessments, supports crisis intervention and prevention efforts, and leads programs that promote student well-being and social-emotional growth.
