Job Summary
Prepare, review, and take responsibility for daily financial reports; prepare, review, and take responsibility for daily chlorine reports; supervise pool staff; care for equipment and maintenance of pool area; and perform opening and closing duties. Recruit and supervise personnel to teach basic and advanced swimming skills to children and adults. Manager may interview and/or select pool personnel each season. May be required to do some or all of the following: Put all equipment out in correct positions; take water tests every hour and set chlorine accordingly; unlock front gate, bathroom doors, etc; answer telephone; answer parents' questions; keep food, drink and gum outside the pool area; offer assistance to instructors; keep children out of pool during lessons if they are not taking a lesson; be on watch of pool during all lessons; return equipment at end of the day; and enforce pool rules.
Requirements / Qualifications
The Pool Manager must have or obtain prior to employment the following or the equivalent: CPR training and Community First Aid and Safety. Verification must be provided. Must have Supervisor experience, ability to communicate orally and in writing; and ability to work cooperatively with other personnel and the community.
