District Receptionist at Covina-Valley Unified School District
Requirements / Qualifications
The Vacancy: There is one full-time, 12 month, open position at the District Office. This recruitment will also be used to fill future vacancies, and temporary/substitute positions in this classification for up to six months. The Position: Under the general supervision of the Executive Assistant in the Superintendent’s Office, the District Receptionist will perform various receptionist duties; greet and assist visitors; respond to telephone and written inquiries from staff, the public, etc. Provide additional clerical support to assigned Administrators and perform related work as required.
Required Qualifications: Must have a minimum of three years of clerical experience, graduation from high school and/or equivalent documentation, bilingual in a designated language (Spanish), have any combination of training and experience that would provide the knowledge and abilities to perform the job functions, and must type at a minimum rate of 45 net words per minute. Selection Procedure: The selection process will consist of a written exam and a qualifications appraisal interview (each weighted 50%). The following must be submitted with the edjoin application:
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three, no older than a year, signed and dated)
- Resume
- Typing Certificate (45 Net WPM no older than a year.)
