Under the direction of the Academy Principal, the Star Academy Teacher is responsible for providing a supportive and nurturing learning environment that supports student achievement through a comprehensive, learner-centered curriculum that meets state standards. The Star Academy Teacher develops and implements hands-on learning activities that emphasize critical thinking and encourage creativity, while employing research-based materials that focus on language and mathematical literacy. The Star Academy Teacher must provide a high quality education program with the dedication and desire to go above and beyond to ensure that our students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative environment in which staff engages in grade-level and cross grade-level planning is essential. Natomas Charter School (NCS) is a Distinguished School now in its 18th year of operations. NCS is ranked in the top 10% of public schools in California.

NCS has always sought to provide students and parents with expanded choices in the types of educational opportunities that are available within the public school system. The overall goal of the school's charter is to establish a variety of innovative educational programs that will accommodate its diverse student population.

The school is seeking qualified applicants to teach middle and/or high school in a new educational program. Quality, motivated teachers are needed in the following areas: English/Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Science and Vocal Music.

Position opening for 2026-2027 school year. Certificate/Materials Required: o CLAD Certificated or EL Authorization o ESSA Compliant o Multiple Subject Teaching Credential o At least one of the following: -At least 24 units in early childhood education, or childhood development, or both. -Professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children that is comparable to the 24 units of education described in bullet 1. -A child development teacher permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) Please include: o Letter of Introduction. In your cover letter, please describe how your educational philosophy and experience are a good fit with Natomas Charter School and this position. o Resume o 3 Letters of Recommendation
