Job Summary

The Aspen Public School Middle and High School Principal is responsible for overseeing all aspects of running the middle and high school, ensuring the effective implementation of the school's mission and vision to "Transform the Community by Developing Exceptional Leaders" and accelerating positive academic outcomes for all students. This role involves providing instructional leadership, managing administrative duties, fostering a strong school culture, and cultivating relationships with internal and external educational partners to meet budgetary, academic, and talent goals. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrates strong knowledge of CTE pathways, high school course sequencing, graduation requirements, and A–G eligibility. Participates in and helps lead key accountability and improvement processes, including WASC accreditation, LCAP development, Parent Advisory Committee (PAC), and English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). Oversees and supports all state and local testing requirements, ensuring compliance, strong testing environments, and clear communication with staff and families. Provides leadership in the instructional development of teachers and staff, including coaching, professional learning, and monitoring instructional effectiveness. Collaborates with site and network leaders to ensure alignment across elementary, middle, and high school programming, strengthening vertical articulation and student outcomes. Supports continuous improvement efforts by analyzing data, identifying instructional needs, and helping implement schoolwide academic priorities. Partner with educators, families, and community stakeholders to build a positive school culture that prioritizes student growth and well-being. Requirements / Qualifications

Qualifications: *CA Administrative Credential *Previous experience in school leadership and education. *Strong understanding of instructional leadership and data-driven decision-making. *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. *Ability to cultivate relationships with diverse educational partners. *Knowledge of budget management and school operations.

Education: *Master's degree in Education Administration or related field preferred.
