DA VINCI SCHOOLS Food Services and Supervision Staff - Job Description Under the supervision of the Operations Administrator and the CFO, the Food Services and Supervision Staff serve to monitor students during drop-off, breaks and support food services during lunch including use of the point of sale system (Mosaic) and assists with the general compliance of the meal program. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: - Prepare multi-purpose room for each meal period - Manage point of sale system assisting students with keying in as needed - Supervise students during drop-off, pick-up and meal periods - Ensure that a reimbursable meal is being taken - Maintain meal area clean and orderly * wipe tables * arrange chairs * support custodial staff as needed - Report any issues with meal system or concerns with students to immediate supervisor. - Must be able to complete a series of mandatory trainings in the area of food management and safety. ABILITY TO: - Use a computer. - Communicate effectively with students and staff. - Understand and carry out oral and written instructions. - Maintain the confidentiality of information related to the meal program. - Work effectively under the direction of others. - Work cooperatively with others. - Set a good example in terms of punctuality, attendance and work ethic. - Be proactive in matters relating to health and safety. - Have willingness to assume other responsibilities appropriate for the position - Stand for extended periods of time. QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or the equivalent. - Combination of training and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described, including previous experience working with students - Knowledge of: Basic reading, writing, and math.
