Job Summary

The Adult Education Guest Teacher provides short-term instructional support in Adult Education programs, including high school diploma, GED/HiSET preparation, ESL, and career technical education courses. Under the direction of the Adult Education Administrator, the Guest Teacher delivers standards-based instruction, facilitates classroom activities, and maintains a positive and respectful learning environment for adult learners. This position requires the ability to effectively engage a diverse population of students with varying educational backgrounds, life experiences, and skill levels. The Guest Teacher implements lesson plans, supports student progress toward academic and career goals, and maintains appropriate classroom management and documentation. The ideal candidate demonstrates flexibility, cultural responsiveness, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt instruction to meet the unique needs of adult learners. A valid teaching credential and/or appropriate substitute authorization is required.
