Job Summary
The Rite of Passage Short-Term Residential Therapy Program sites have enabled thousands of at-risk youth to move beyond their troubled home lives and negative former school experiences. Providing dramatic behavioral and lifestyle changes, the Rite of Passage treatment programs provide a unique, proactive setting for education. EDCOE provides educational services at the facilities. The position will require travel. Sites are located in San Andreas, CA, Minden, NV, and Placerville, CA. EDCOE is seeking a dynamic leader that ensures the educational success of students by providing instructional leadership; building and maintaining positive relationships with Rite of Passage; working and communicating effectively with staff, students, parents, and community agencies; managing testing, staffing, master schedules, discipline, and school activities; supervising and evaluating instructional and classified staff; assisting with the preparation of various State plans and reports related to LCAP, Wellness, Safety; and maintaining a safe and positive school culture. It is also critical that the Principal can facilitate positive partnerships, build a positive school culture, manage multiple school sites, manage crises, and make quick decisions. EDCOE is looking for a Principal who can provide top-notch Professional Development for teachers and staff, as well as program staff related to students in an alternative setting.
Requirements / Qualifications
This position serves multiple sites and requires travel to/from Placerville, CA, Minden, NV, and San Andreas, CA. Experience: Must have successful experience as a school principal or vice principal with a full range of responsibilities for leading and managing a secondary school program. Education: Credential in School Administration; Valid California Teaching Credential.
