Requirements / Qualifications
This position will require the following: • Bachelor's Degree required • Valid California Teaching Credential or permit authorizing service as a teacher within the designated assignment o California Education Specialist Instruction, Mild Moderate Support Needs Credential (Mild Moderate credential with added authorization in Autism may be accepted) o AND English Learner Authorization (CLAD, ELAE, ELA1) required • Must meet ESSA requirements • A certificate showing that within the last 60 days, the person has submitted to a tuberculosis risk assessment and if tuberculosis risk factors were identified, has been examined by a physician, nurse practitioner, or local health department, and has been found to be free of infectious tuberculosis • Candidates selected for employment are required to be fingerprinted and cleared by the CA Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigations through the Lewis Center (LCER) If you have questions regarding credentialing requirements, please call 760-946-5414 ext. 294.
