Its mission is to prepare students for transferring to four-year universities, to enter the workforce by earning applied degrees and certificates, to foster economic growth and global competitiveness through workforce development, and to improve the quality of life in the inland Empire and beyond.The San Bernardino Valley College Business Administration Division seeks an innovative faculty member with a demonstrated commitment to student success for a full-time tenure track position.Representative Duties:The following duties are typical of those performed by faculty in this classification. Other duties may be assigned as appropriate.The successful candidate will be responsible for lecture instruction in the subject area of Business Administration which may include business management/leadership, entrepreneurship, human relations, business law, business math, marketing principles, human resources management and other classes offered within the Business Administration program. Duties, not limited to the following, may include the faculty member participating in curriculum management and development, maintaining current expertise in the field, and advising/supporting student learning opportunities that meet the students' educational goals.1. Fulling the requirements of a full-time instructor (i.e., complying to SBCCD District and Board policies, bargaining unit agreements, holding office hours, etc.)2. Providing instruction in various modalities (i.e., in-person, online, hybrid, hyflex), utilizing various Teaching methods. Provide instruction in a manner consistent with the district's standards and in accordance with the approved course outlines of record. Please be aware that some instruction may occur off-site, as the college has a variety of programs including Dual Enrollment.3. Maintain standards of professionalism and ethics. At all times demonstrate respect for the rights and needs of students and demonstrate respect for staff, colleagues and the teaching profession.4. Maintain relevancy with industry expertise to ensure Business Administrationcurriculum and practice currency, not limited to education and industry standards.5. Work forty hours weekly, included, but not limited to, conducting classes, class preparation, student evaluation, office hours, committee work, curriculum and program development, student learning outcomes assessment, program review, student activities, and other duties per the bargaining unit agreement. Day, evening, and/or weekend may be a part of the regular contract.6. Regular attendance and participation in department meetings, and other areas of professional matters. Represent the program at community events, career fairs, and other outreach activities to promote the program and engage with potential students.7. Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills for effectively interacting with colleagues, staff, students, administrators, community partners, and individuals of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds and ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural setting.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: (To be specified in accordance with California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office Faculty Minimum Qualifications)Master's in business, business management, business administration, accountancy, finance, marketing or business education
ORBachelor's in any of the aboveANDMaster's in economics, personnel management, public administration, or Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) or Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B.)
ORBachelor's in economics with a business emphasisANDMaster's in personnel management, public administration, or Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) or Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B.)

And
Experience that indicates a sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, including those with physical and learning disabilities.
Desired Qualifications
• 3 years of recent teaching experience at the community college and/or university level in a related discipline using a variety of formats and deliveries such as online, in-person, hybrid, hyflex, fast-track, accelerated, etc., and certified to teach online. Competency with Canvas LMS.• A minimum of 5 years of successful relevant professional work experience in business, entrepreneurship, or business-related fields.
• Experience in building new academic programs, including curriculum development that meets the changing needs of employers and the business world.• Experience using ZTC/OER materials and/or a willingness to do so.• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development, industry engagement, and training
Employment Requirements

Cost of live-scan services to be borne by candidate.• Sealed official transcript(s) in envelope from institution or electronic copies emailed directly from institution (for positions with higher education requirement)• Tuberculosis (TB) risk assessment.• Employment verification(s) (for salary placement on faculty salary schedule).
