Job Summary

Job Summary

The Head Girls Flag Football Coach is responsible for organizing, developing, and leading the girls flag football program in alignment with the mission and values of Village Christian School. This role oversees all aspects of the team, including planning and conducting practices, developing game strategies, supervising athletes during practices and competitions, and fostering athletic skill development, teamwork, discipline, and Christian character. The Head Coach provides leadership to student-athletes while modeling sportsmanship, integrity, and Christ-centered conduct.

Requirements / Qualifications

A high school diploma is required. Prior coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level is preferred. Candidates must possess strong knowledge of flag football strategy, skill development, practice planning, and game management. CPR/First Aid certification and CIF-required coaching certifications may be required per school and league guidelines. Applicants must demonstrate effective communication skills, leadership ability, organizational skills, and a commitment to modeling high Christian ideals.

Applicants must submit a completed employment application and resume outlining relevant coaching and athletic experience. Upon hire, employees must provide documentation verifying authorization to work in the United States (I-9), complete required background checks and Live Scan fingerprinting, and submit any required CIF coaching certifications or athletic clearances (if applicable). Additional documentation such as TB clearance and a signed faith statement may be required in accordance with school policy and state regulations.

The role requires leadership, collaboration with the Athletic Director and administration, and oversight of all aspects of the program. This is a part-time, exempt, seasonal stipend position. Compensation ranges from $1,000 – $10,000 and is based on experience and position. Schedule and time commitment will vary based on the athletic season, practice schedule, and competition calendar.
