Attendance Technician (AT) & Health Office Assistant (HOA)- Gault Elementary School at Santa Cruz City Schools
Requirements / Qualifications
Attendance Technician: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and three years of general clerical experience preferably at a school district. Bachelor's Degree can be substituted for experience. Valid First Aid and CPR certification is required, or the ability to obtain certification within the first five months of employment. The District will provide and cover the cost of the training.

Position Schedule:
AT: 3.5 hours/day M-F 8:00 AM-11:30AM
HOA: 3 hours/day M-F 11:30 AM-2:30PM
Health Office Assistant:
Knowledge of -
Basic health office practices, terminology, procedures and equipment.
Health and safety regulations.
Emergency first aid and CPR procedures.
Modern office practices, procedures and equipment.
Record-keeping techniques.
Operation of a variety of standard office equipment including a computer and assigned software.
Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
Applicable laws and school district regulations related to health care of students.
Nursing experience is not required for the Health Office Assistant position.
Attendance Technician:

Record-keeping techniques.
Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
School attendance policies, procedures, terminology and attendance accounting methods.
Attendance recording and reporting requirements and formats.

Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
Telephone techniques and etiquette.
