ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Principal and Education Specialist, the School Psychologist will: Identify at-risk students and develop research-based academic and behavioral interventions in the least restrictive environment Initiate, participate in, and follow through on the Review of Existing Evaluation Data Provide crisis prevention and intervention and follow up as the situation requires Administer full psychological, academic, social-emotional evaluations for students Interpret assessment findings clearly to parents /guardians and attendees at Individual Educational Planning Team (IEP) meetings Ability to integrate evaluation data to make meaningful decisions regarding special education eligibility and develop appropriate present level statements as part

QUALIFICATIONS: 1) Required knowledge, skills & abilities: Knowledge of child cognitive development and various learning styles Knowledge of subject matter (Education Psychology), including California State Standards and subject-specific frameworks Knowledge of assessments Ability and willingness to implement CRLA (including Classical Education and Leader In Me) Guidelines and Best Practices Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data Ability and willingness to reflect and improve instructional practices Ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community Computer and Internet skills 2) Minimum educational level: Bachelor’s degree Valid California ED School Psychologist Credential required (PPS that allows assessing IEPs) 3) Experience: 1+ year working with students as a School Psychologist preferred
