Sycamore Creek Community Charter School is seeking a TK/Kindergarten Assistant beginning immediately. The candidate will support the Early Childhood program under the direction of the Lead Early Childhood Teacher, TK, and Kindergarten teaching staff. This individual will assist in creating a safe, nurturing environment for the young children in our early childhood program. This position is part-time and has the hours of 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. Sycamore Creek Community Charter School is a WASC accredited Waldorf inspired Charter school that serves 230 children TK through eighth grade located in Cypress, California. Our school offers a comprehensive Waldorf curriculum that includes Spanish, Mandarin, handwork, music, and choir. We have a strong emphasis on the outdoors, arts, and community. We are eagerly looking for a staff member to join our growing Early Childhood program. Responsibilities: Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play. Promote independent play, social-emotional development, and self-regulation skills Prepare snacks, support housekeeping, and other classroom preparations Assist and participate in story time, circle time, singing, finger games, and movement activities Help children with classroom chores and handwork Become familiar with and support the Waldorf pedagogy in the classroom Communicate effectively with faculty and administrative staff Ensure student safety and follow all school policies and procedures Submit resume to: info@sycamorecreekcharter.org
