Job Summary
This is a part time position. The elementary school music teacher at Loma Prieta Elementary School engages students in kindergarten through 5th grades for pull-out instruction. Our music teacher should build meaningful bonds with students, maintain high performance standards, and have strong leadership and communication skills. The Elementary Music Teacher develops students’ foundational skills in rhythm, melody, harmony, vocal performance, movement, and basic instrumental techniques. Instruction may include singing, playing classroom instruments, music literacy, music appreciation, and performance preparation. In addition to classroom instruction, the teacher may coordinate school concert(s), assist in weekly student assemblies, collaborate with grade-level teachers, and communicate with families. We enjoy a very involved community that provides exceptional support for the current music program. Our schools are academically high performing, with students and staff who embrace a "can do" attitude.

Requirements / Qualifications
California Single Subject music teaching credential & CLAD certification required. 30-day Substitute Credentials are NOT valid credentials for contracted positions in our district. Minimum of three years teaching experience preferred (not required).
Three letters of reference, resume, and letter of introduction are required. *Official college transcripts will be requested if an offer of employment is made.
