About the Employer

The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools office acts as an intermediate service agency between the California Department of Education and the 33 school districts in San Bernardino County to help meet the educational needs of all children county-wide. We are committed to working with our school districts, other agencies, families and the community at large by providing services, information and leadership, always with a focus on students.

Requirements / Qualifications

NECESSARY MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION • Completed Ed-Join on-line Application (incomplete application will not be considered. All fields must be filled in); • Letter of Introduction; • Current Resume; • Copy of Master’s Degree; • Copy of valid California Board for Physical Therapy license OR California Board for Occupational Therapy License and a copy of valid registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). • Copy of Valid CPR Certification; • Three (3) current (signed and dated within 3 years) letters of reference; • All application materials must be received on-line by stated deadline; • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications and provide all necessary materials prior to the stated deadline in order to qualify as a candidate. A copy of a valid Driver’s License is required prior to the start of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Possession of a Master’s Degree; • Valid California Board for Physical Therapy license OR a valid California Board for Occupational Therapy License and a valid registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT); • Valid CPR Certification; • One (1) year experience providing supervision; • Four (4) years experience providing occupational or physical therapy services in a California school district, county office of education, or Special Education Local Plan Area with one (1) year of post-license experience; • Four (4) years post-license experience in the occupational or physical therapy planning process (including direct services, treatment plans, monitoring progress, termination of services); • Four (4) years experience writing and carrying out IEP goals and participating in IEP team meetings. • Possession of a valid Driver’s License and use of personal transportation required (SBCSS vehicle not provided).
