Job Summary
The Waldorf Pedagogical Coordinator will serve as an instructional leader, mentor, and collaborator for faculty, ensuring that the curriculum is aligned with both Waldorf education principles and state standards through the Gradalis compendium used by the school. This position involves regular classroom observation, coaching, curriculum development support, and oversight of teacher professional development. The position is presently part-time, but a goal has been set for it to become a full-time position.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Waldorf education, ideally in both teaching and leadership roles. - Familiarity with or willingness to study and apply the Gradalis Compendium. - Strong background in curriculum development, instructional coaching, and teacher evaluation. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and guide educators. - A commitment to public Waldorf education and the mission of El Rio Community School. - Bachelor's degree and Waldorf teacher certification required.
