Job Summary

POSITION: The Assessment Coordinator is a member of the central office team and is responsible for the student assessment process and reporting as needed. The Assessment Coordinator acts as primary liaison between the CDE, assessment agencies, and the Division to create strategies for implementing successful assessments. The Assessment Coordinator shall develop and organize division-level and school-based assessment programs and reporting, provide responsible and professional staff assistance for assigned educational programs, and perform related duties as assigned. The position requires specialized subject matter expertise in assessment programs and data analysis. General direction is provided by the Executive Director. LOCATION: Los Angeles County Office of Education, 9300 Imperial Highway, Downey, CA 90242-2890

Requirements / Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Experience: Five (5) or more years of professional experience in K–12 education, including at least three (3) years as a classroom teacher. Experience in coordinating schoolwide student assessment programs, educational data analysis, and data-driven instructional improvement initiatives. Serving at-promise youth, underrepresented and diverse student populations is highly desirable. Education: • Bachelor’s degree • Master’s degree preferred LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE All applicants must attach credential with document number to their application. Please do not attach the certificate copy of your Credential. • Must posses a California Teaching Credential authorizing service to students K-12. • Must posses an Administrative credential.
