Job Summary
This position will be assigned to the Educational Services Department: Under general supervision, to perform a variety of responsible secretarial and administrative support duties in support of an administrator; and to provide general information and assistance to faculty, staff, parents, and the general public. May exercise functional and technical oversight over clerical staff.

Please read the full job description. Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized secretarial course work in office practices is desirable. Experience: Two years of increasingly responsible secretarial experience. License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California driver’s license and appropriate vehicle operation insurance.
Application Procedures: This is an on-call/temporary position. Applications is will be continuously screened. Qualified applicants will be invited to a written examination. If an applicant needs reasonable accommodation, we must be informed prior to the administration of the test. If selected, fingerprinting is required. You will need to supply our office with a negative (tuberculosis) PPD skin test clearance, skin tests, blood draws, or risk assessment questionnaires are accepted. The certificate is good for a four-year period. You can have the test done through the Santa Cruz Health Department, Doctors on Duty Clinic or by calling a physician or a clinic of your choice.
