Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Information Technology, assists students, teachers, and other staff in the use of computers, tablets and mobile devices, audio-visual equipment, software and related peripherals devices. Along with Information Technology tasks/duties, supports the IT department to maintain the Gorman Learning Charter Network websites/webpages, a variety of records and maintains an inventory of equipment and supplies.
Requirements / Qualifications
+ Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and one year of training and/or coursework in computer and network systems. • Experience using and supporting common microcomputer hardware, peripherals and a variety of software applications and operating systems for both Windows and MacOS • Fundamental knowledge of data retrieval • Ability to install and train staff on software products; diagnose and resolve obscure user problems; work effectively for long periods of time with minimal supervision; provide strong customer service • A+, Network+, and/or Security+ certifications desired • Previous experience in an educational setting is highly desirable • TB test clearance • Criminal DOJ and FBI Clearance Knowledge of: • Fundamental understanding of networking principles • Windows, MacOS, and iOS as well as G-suite for education • Proficient office practices and procedures including organization, communication and interpersonal skills. • Correct English usage and vocabulary • Operation of a computer and data entry techniques • Ability to review, classify, categorize, prioritize and/or analyze data or information • Assist students, teachers, and other staff in the use of computers, tablets and mobile devices, audio-visual equipment, software, and related peripherals devices Perform a variety of clerical tasks • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair computer hardware and software, tablets and mobile devices and related software, and peripheral equipment • Meet and deal with staff and public tactfully and courteously • Understand, delegate/or follow oral and written instruction • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others • Operate a computer to enter data, maintain records, generate reports and correspond with colleagues
