Job Summary

Under immediate supervision, assists in the preparation of service of food in a school cafeteria or kitchen. Assists in setting up foods on counters and steam tables; serves at steam tables during meals; sets up trays and loads food carts; washes dishes and kitchen utensils; scrubs tables and counters; disposes of waste; keeps rooms and equipment clean; operates kitchen equipment such as electric mixer, dishwashing machine, ovens , and warmers; may operate cash register.
