Job Summary
Front Ensemble VAPA Coach- Working with the percussion team to teach and run the front ensemble during rehearsals, camps, and performances (football games, competitions, etc). Provide musical and technical instruction to students — teaching rhythms, techniques, show music, and rehearsal warmups. Help set up, organize, and maintain front-ensemble equipment and gear; ensure instruments and electronics are ready for rehearsals and shows. Attend scheduled rehearsals and performances to support students and help execute the percussion's show design.
Requirements / Qualifications
VMHS VAPA - BAND - Assistant Coach (Including Marching) - Percussion Instructor * Two professional references must be from an evaluating supervisor/administrator.
If selected to coach, the following items will be required prior to clearance: 1) TB/Drug Screening within 5 days of offer. 2) Live Scan Fingerprinting - $69.00 made out: MVUSD (via Cashiers Check/Money Order for California Teaching Commission cost). 3) Unless you hold a valid teaching credential/or 30-Day Substitute Permit, you will need to attain an ASCC through the CTC website $102.50. 4) Valid CPR & First Aid prior to start date. - CPR and First Aid Certifications must be from an American Heart Association or American Red Cross Approved, in-person course. No online certificates will be accepted. 5) Completion of Keenan SafeSchools online training modules.
