Job Summary

Under the direction of the Principal the Community School Site Liaison works collaboratively with the school and district administration, community school leadership teams, teachers, families and community members to improve children’s academic achievement, strengthen family functioning, increase family involvement in their children’s education and communities, and make the school an inclusive and welcoming place. The Community School Site Liaison is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of a community school strategy and for building and maintaining relationships with administration, faculty, staff, and students as the “community organizer” of the school and community. The Community School Site Liaison will create, strengthen, and maintain the bridge between the school and community, facilitate and provide leadership for the collaborative process and development of a continuum of services for children, families, and school community at large.

Requirements / Qualifications

Coordinating, Scheduling, Typing, filing; standard office practices, correct English usage, spelling, grammar and basic arithmetic; excellent computer skills; increasing levels of responsible clerical experience preferably within a public school setting. High School graduate or equivalent; AA Degree (preferred). Passing score on a written exam. Examination is computerized and will be held at District Office in 29 Palms.
