About the Employer
The Goleta Union School District (GUSD) serves approximately 3,384 students in preschool through sixth grade across nine elementary schools. All schools offer transitional kindergarten and strong support services, including special education and mental health, in addition to after-school care at all nine schools supporting approximately 1,500 students. GUSD offers embedded programs to address specific needs of gifted students and English Learners across the district. Each school maintains a 1.0–1.5 full time positions to support intervention needs for all students. With small class sizes, a focus on a science based approach to literacy, STEAM, and strong community partnerships, GUSD is committed to a district vision providing powerful instruction, purposeful individualization, and productive partnerships that lead to positive evidence of student growth and success.
Job Summary
Job Summary
Calendar starts 5 days before students return to campuses. Provides occupational therapy and services that includes assessment, development Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals and plans, and directs therapy to assist students in acquiring functional and independent life skills. Works with special education teams and provides consultation and training to school personnel and families.
