Job Summary

Job Summary

The Middle School Academy Teacher / Assistant Principal will serve as both a Humanities teacher and a leader for the middle school team, with a 60/40 split between teaching and administrative duties. Responsibilities include guiding and supporting Middle School Teachers, handling student discipline and parent communication, leading team meetings, and managing day-to-day middle school operations. This role is designed to provide instructional leadership similar to a department chair, with added administrative responsibilities to support the principal. Preferred Job Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years teaching and/or admin experience - Experience with GATE Instructional Strategies - Experience teaching Leader in ME Habits is a plus - BCLAD preferred (Spanish) - CA Preliminary Administrative Services Credential or enrolled in a CTC-approved Preliminary Administrative Services Credential Program

Requirements / Qualifications

This position requires a current CA Multiple Subjects or Single Subjects Teaching Credential. If you do not currently hold an appropriate California credential at the time of your application, your application will not be considered.
