Job Summary

Under general supervision, performs skilled gardening/maintenance work on assigned grounds areas in planting, cultivating and maintaining lawns, plants, shrubs and landscaped grounds and gardens in landscaped areas; drives motorized equipment and trucks; and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

Required Qualifications: • Graduation from high school, or equivalent. • Evidence of three years successful skilled experience in grounds keeping, landscape maintenance or landscape construction, including some experience operating power and motorized equipment or three years’ successful experience as an entry level within the District, including three years’ successful evaluations. • Possession of valid California driver's license. Must have a good driving record and be insurable under the District's insurance program; must maintain insurability. • Provide current K-4 DMV Driving Record (From DMV Only – no Online or Kiosk printouts accepted – must have official DMV seal) • May be required to obtain Pest Control Applicator’s Certificate within the first year: certificate must be kept current. • May be required to obtain a class A driver’s license within the first year and must be kept current. • Current Resume
