Job Summary
Conducts vision screening, including color screening, and hearing as mandated; completes health/development histories for special education assessments; serves as a resource for health-related problems at assigned schools; serves as a member of a multidisciplinary IEP team; is a member of the school site crisis team; makes appropriate referrals as necessary for health conditions; develops student’s specialized health care plans; communicates with and is liaison between school and student’s medical team; provides instruction to staff, parents, and students on a variety of health related topics; and interprets District regulations on health matters to staff, parents and students. May engage in other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS >Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a regionally accredited institution. >Valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License. >School Nurse Services Credential. •If you do not possess a School Nurse Services Credential, you must be willing to obtain a preliminary credential upon hiring. •To clear the credential, you will be required to enroll in and complete a credentialing program within 5 years of employment.
