Immediate Openings for all Classified Substitute positions! Under supervision, to follow a schedule of custodial duties in connection with the repairs and upkeep required to maintain assigned rooms, buildings, grounds, and equipment in a clean orderly manner and to do related work as required such as minor maintenance duties. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Sweep, mop, wax and seal floors; vacuum rugs and carpets; dust, wash and polish furniture and woodwork; empty and clean waste receptacles; remove gum, wash windows, walls, sinks and fountains; clean restrooms; sweep sidewalks; pick up papers; wash and clean food preparation, serving and eating areas; polish metal work; fill towel and soap dispensers, and generally replenish supplies; replace light bulbs and tubes; perform emergency clean-up resulting from breakage, vandalism, spilling or illness; clean whiteboards and trays; turn lights on or off and lock doors, windows, and gates; assist in moving, arranging and setting up furniture and equipment; reports unsafe conditions and needed repairs to superiors; assemble tools and material required for jobs; operates power equipment; such as floor cleaners, polishers, carpet cleaners, power washers, etc.; wash and clean pool related areas; and other related duties as assigned. Maintain dumpster area and bale cardboard.
