Job Summary
Under the supervision of the classroom teacher, and school site Principal, assists in providing for the educational and special needs of targeted students in the classroom and performs routine clerical duties as may be assigned. This position is assigned to a Special Education classroom located at Lincoln Jr. High School in Taft, CA.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: • Proof of High School Diploma • Associates degree, 48 semester units at an accredited college or university, or successful completion of the paraprofessional exam (provided by the district). Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice as well as a physical clearance are conditions of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.
In addition to submitting an application, qualified candidates should upload: • Paraprofessional certificate or copy of transcript showing 48 semester units at a college/university (If not yet obtained, applicant will be required to take exam(s) at the District Office.)
