Job Title: Full-Time English Teacher Status: Regular, Full-Time (5 loads) Work Year: Mid-August to Mid-June Classification: Exempt Supervisor: Principal and Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction Salary Range: $61,700 - $92,000 (paid over 12 months) Flintridge Sacred Heart is a Catholic, Dominican, independent, college-preparatory, day and boarding high school whose mission is to educate young women for a life of faith, integrity and truth. We are seeking a full-time English teacher. Successful candidates must have a strong background in English literature and commensurate skill as a writing instructor. The teacher will use frequent and varied assessment methods to gauge student progress and provide feedback. The ideal candidate will be experienced in integrating technology into their teaching, and ready to consider emerging technologies to enhance learning and student engagement. We seek educators who are able and eager to collaborate with colleagues and students on interdisciplinary research projects and have experience with instructional technology and innovative teaching strategies. All faculty are involved in co-curricular programs and should share in a commitment to a holistic approach to educating our young women.
