The District Psychologist will assess intellectual and educational characteristics of children, make judgments of aptitudes or learning, and evaluate the achievement of skills and the accumulation of knowledge. In addition, the District Psychologist will recommend appropriate educational and psychological services in terms of the child's unique learning and psychological needs. Other duties will be to assist inservice training and consultation service to assist school staffs to understand better the behavior and learning of children; to maintain records and files and make reports required in programs for children with exceptional needs.

POSITION AVAILABLE: SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST INTERN - DISTRICT (K-12) QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Hold or be eligible for a California Pupil Personnel Services Intern Credential; 2. Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in school psychology 3. Knowledge of psychological and psycho-educational assessment instruments and procedures and their interpretation; 4. Knowledge of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports; 5. Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies; 6. Response to Instruction and Intervention (RtI2); 7. The ability to establish rapport with students and build effective relationships with parents and staff; 8. Hold a valid California driver’s license.
